Making A Purchase

We want to make your shopping experience as simple as possible. Browse our online store, pick the items you wish to buy and proceed to your cart for check out. We accept credit card and paypal payments for internet orders. Please call or email for other payment options. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or UnionPay. If you are making payment with a debit card, please understand Elk Creek Outdoors LLC will take no responsibility for any overdraft charges associated with this purchase; this includes any charges associated with processing errors.

We do not take back orders.

Product requests

If you have a request for a product not listed on our website, contact us and we will get you a quote as soon as possible.  Depending on the cost of the order, we may require partial or full payment when making the order.

 Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

  • No returns will be accepted after 30 days of the invoice date.
  • Upon our receipt of the returned product(s), we reserve the right to evaluate the merchandise to determine if a refund or exchange will be made.
  • Items must be factory new and unused. If you carry it, take it apart, cut stuff, "try it out for a day", or destroy the package: you own it.
  • You are responsible for getting the product back to us. Please insure your package.

Please Note: A detailed note explaining the reason for the return and whether an exchange or refund is desired MUST accompany all returns. Be sure to include all current contact information including name, address, daytime phone number, email address and the original invoice number when possible. 

All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. If free shipping was used your order is also subject to a $10.00 deduction before refund. Refunds are issued upon receipt of good using the original form of payment. Please allow 5-7 days for processing to your credit card account.

If you need to return an item, please contact us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.


Refunds will be issued in the same manner in which original payment was made (i.e. credit card purchases will be returned in the form of a credit to the original card account). Credit card refunds are subject to a 3% return fee. NOTE: If we deem a return was made without reasonable cause, or wherein our judgment the product meets the advertised condition, the refund will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

 You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).


We currently only ship to addresses within the United States.  All fixed price and free shipping offers are for the lower 48 states and will be shipped using the carrier of our choice.  If you require a specific carrier, please contact us prior to ordering and also let us know in the commnets of your order.  Shipments to Hawaii and Alaska may incur an extra shipping fee which we will quote you and get a confirmation of acceptance before shipping.  All reloading component orders will be shipped UPS Ground or Fed-Ex Ground (no PO Box addresses). 

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Orders typically ship 24 to 48 hours after the order is placed. Please be patient during high volume periods, as these can change shipping times drastically. You will receive email notification providing you with the tracking number and estimated delivery date when the order ships.
